While we aim to remove as much wax as safely possible, complete ear wax removal cannot always be guaranteed. Using wax softening drops or spray for 3 days prior to your appointment will increase the likelihood of full wax removal. If some wax remains, we will explain why and discuss the appropriate next steps.

How to prepare for microsuction

Microsuction works best when ear wax has been softened beforehand. We recommend using suitable ear wax-softening drops or spray for at least three days before your appointment.
